My main professional activity is simultaneous translation at remote and on-site events. In order to become qualified for this position, I took a 12-month course and a 15-month postgraduate university degree in conference interpreting, totaling over 500 hours of formal training.

In order to become fluent in English, I’ve dedicated myself to learning the language for over 20 years, taking English courses both in Brazil and abroad, besides being in constant contact with the language through audiovisual materials, books and personal contact with native English speakers.

I’ve been working exclusively with translation since 2010, totaling over 700 days of work as a freelance interpreter and many more as a translator and subtitler. During this time, I’ve accumulated terminological experience in many fields, such as oil & gas, medicine, product manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, sports, religious, training and education, human resources, tourism, entertainment, media, safety and security, mining, IT, among many others.

My differential? I care. I know, it shouldn’t be a differential; we should all care for each other as human beings. Therefore, I care about the human being behind your job title. I care about your goals. I care about how you are feeling today. I care about the event you are working hard to organize. I care about your audience. I care when I choose how to word an email so that it may at least make you smile a bit in addition to the content shared. Being friendly is key in life. And, as work is nothing but part of life, it’s not all about money. Financial compensation is, of course, a vital and much appreciated aspect of this part of life, but it’s not everything. For me, it’s also very much about the experiences and the memories. And I’m proud to share that my mind still takes me back to fond memories from my early days in interpreting (possibly accompanied by a tear or two of happiness and gratitude). Oh, the blessings I’ve lived through while working! My professional life and social media yielded me good friends, too. For me, THAT is success!
